GATEWAY GALLERY

The Gateway Gallery is a purpose-built, volunteer-run gallery situated on the river in the heart of Shrewsbury. Holding regular exhibitions of contemporary art as well as community-focused events throughout the year, the Gateway Gallery has become a destination venue. With an independent cafe housed within the same complex, it’s a must-visit gallery with a calendar of exciting shows selling work from local artists as well as some from further afield.

Mini Masterpieces: Postcards by Young Creators at the Gateway Gallery

During the Arts Trail visitors will be able to see a collection of miniature artwork produced by the children of Shropshire. The theme is ‘My Shropshire’ and what that means to the children who have taken part from all over the county. All artwork is postcard-size so expect a bright, colourful and heart-warming exhibition from Shropshire’s budding artists.

As well as having the opportunity to have their artwork displayed in a gallery, there will be People’s Choice prizes awarded in each age category so every vote counts! Come and support our young people and vote for your favourite depiction of ‘My Shropshire’ throughout July and August!
