Come and discover our independent art shop and gallery in Coleham, a short stroll from Wyle Cop just over the Greyfriars Bridge. Artist-owned, we are passionate about creating a space where both emerging and established artists can showcase their work. 

 

We pride ourselves on bringing an exciting programme of exhibitions by contemporary artist from across Shropshire, Wales and the UK. There’s always something new to spark your creativity, including a fabulous range of art-inspired books and gifts for art lovers of all ages.

 

Summer 2024 is set to be a veritable festival of art in Shrewsbury. Here at MRS JONES gallery, we begin with a 6-week exhibition by much admired local artist Jane Beesley. ‘The Skies I’m Under’ will run from June 1st to July 13th.

This will be followed by our very first Summer Inter-city exhibition, which sees some of the most exciting names in contemporary British art converge in this one-of-a-kind group show from July 27th – August 31st. As well as exceptional Shropshire-based painters, artists will include one of Manchester’s finest contemporary painters, Liam Spencer, once quoted by artist Bridget Riley as belonging to ‘that rarest of all traditions – the tradition of good painting’, Bristol’s Annie Clay and Birmingham’s TEMPER, widely recognised as one of the most successful and talented graffiti artists of his generation.
